The key is you want plant based nutrient-rich protein so that you get all of what you need, don’t get what you don’t need like the animals cholesterol and stored saturated fat, and get those amino acids along with all the other nutrients that keep your body healthy. After all, protein is just one of 8-10 nutrient categories that are all essential for healthy and personal performance.

You also need essential fats, to pad your cells, help with neurotransmission – cell to cell communication and other very important brain functions.

Nutrient Rich Food is the Number One Most Important Resource for All of US.

[Facebook] [Twitter]

It’s not just a website, it’s a life resource for all of all. Nutrient Rich food is what fuels us, provides our bodies the materials for repair, healing, and energy. The reason we call NutrientRich.com the number one resource is because of this first and foremost.

If all the essential aspects of lifestyle, whether you are into health or performance, nutrient rich healthy eating is what keeps US healthy. Of course there are many other aspects of life that enable us to stay healthy, particularly how we manage our personal energy, whether or not we stay fit, are focused on our real goals and more, but nutrient rich healthy eating is the one things we do multiple times per day that we can simply control by our choices to fuel our bodies right, with unrefined food, in it’s natural state, without taking in excess calories and ensuring comprehensive nutritional adequacy.

In other words, just because you are eating nutrient rich, does not mean that you will not need to supplement various nutrients due to the detrimental affects of your previous usual diet which may have thrown your body out of balance or have caused you to be chronically deficient in one or more nutrient categories. Also, given we are not always in the sun, or may not eat animal products you may need to supplement vitamin D or B12 and zine. If you don’t take in iodized salt, for blood pressure and to maintain healthy kidneys, you may need to take in some iodine. So a well constructed multivitamin is a good idea.

Eating right, eating healthy

[Facebook] [Twitter]

What is eating right or eating healthy? There are labels, more labels, and information—we are surrounded by information! But, what good is that information if we can’t get empowered by it—if we can’t USE that information—not much good, is it?
So, some simple rules for eating right and eating healthy.

Buy whole, unprocessed food—if someone else did the cooking for you, that food has lost its nutritional value!

Eat nutrient-rich foods—now that includes vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds and whole grains. Don’t fall into the trap that seeds are for the birds and nuts are for the squirrels….for one thing, they seem pretty happy, don’t they? Fast too….Anyway, the fact is that humans evolved eating all those foods listed—the plant-based foods. Our bodies are “built” to utilize those foods—you just KNOW, we weren’t built to use Hamburger Helper, now don’t you? And, as we are all aging, don’t you want to protect yourself from some of the problems we know are associated with aging? Nutrient rich foods can help there as well. While the Mediterranean diet that is referenced is a bit different from a nutrient rich diet, the idea that it helps maintain memory and intellectual functions supports the notion that eating well can provide a lifetime of benefit. And eating right, and eating healthy has to include those foods that we know provide the best nutrition and the richest source of nutrients!

Drink lots and lots of pure water—stay away from sodas, alcohol, coffee and black teas. Drink lots of green and white teas if you want something other than water.

Eat smaller meals, but eat more frequently. This can allow you to feel full without overfilling yourself. Whole grains tend to fill you up pretty nicely—one of the problems with overeating is that as we overeat, it gets harder and harder to feel “full”. Also, so many diets restrict the amount you can eat, so people “fall off the wagon” because they are feeling hungry too much of the time. If you eat small meals more frequently, you never get so hungry you end up overdoing it.

“Switch to Rich” and enjoy your healthy new life!

Nutrient rich knowledge – The key of a healthy life

[Facebook] [Twitter]

Knowledge is power, they say, and it is very true! And, for a healthy life, knowledge about nutrient rich food can be extremely powerful for you and your family!

Many people have given up trying to read nutrition labels. It seems to many people that you need a PhD in chemistry (or to have awfully good eyesight!) to know what they are talking about! While you should probably still keep reading those labels and building on your knowledge, using nutrient rich foods automatically bumps up you nutrient rich knowledge! When you buy, cook and serve nutrient rich foods, you know you are providing a high density of the nutrients you and your family need for a healthy life. The details of the number of milligrams or micrograms of this vitamin or that mineral will be a bit less important. And, you certainly won’t have to worry whether the nutrition label is giving you an accurate number of grams of trans fats—because naturally produced trans fats are very, very rare in nature! Trans fats are produced during the processing of foods—unsaturated fats have hydrogen atoms added (hydrogenation) to make them saturated and it is this process that makes the trans fats.

If you make sure you have a good variety of nutrient rich foods to choose from, including lots of green and variously colored vegetables, whole grains, beans, legumes, nuts and seeds, you can then be pretty certain you are getting all the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that you, your children and your loved ones need. You can eat nutrient rich foods and not worry about gaining weight—in fact, you are more likely to be losing weight! In addition, you can also have the knowledge that you are not eating any synthetic chemicals, especially if you buy organically grown nutrient rich foods.

Nutrient rich knowledge—knowing about the “added value” of nutrient rich foods can easily lead you towards a healthier life and a healthier lifestyle—and that can give you peace of mind that you are doing the right thing for yourself and for your family. And that really IS powerful!
